Sweet Silence..

Sweet silence takes over…

Ever so loud-
Pressing at my ears;

The sound of my breathing,

Beating of my heart,
Ever so steady-

Driving me insane…

What happened to sweet silence?
How I wish these sounds would stop!

I cant take them anymore.

Drown me into sweet silence:
Stay with me-

Soundless music of the night.

Ah! The strings of melancholy;
Behold!
My violin of solitude-
This wordless poetry of endless pain,

Voicing the joys of loneliness.

Sweet silence, I am yours forever!
Take me in your soothing arms;
Purify me- I am ready.
