Hello loves,
So its been quite some months since I have done a post. Just gotten so busy with school and everything that I haven't had time to write. So today I just have some quick tips for this winter on how to protect skin.
"The best way to tackle your winter skin woes would be to religiously moisturize your skin."
For dry skin, use petroleum gel because it has 80% oil and 20% water. Shea and cocoa butter creams are also excellent moisturizers but they are greasy, so use sparingly before going to bed.
For oily skin, use moisturizers which are non-comedogenic (water-bsaed).
For normal skin, restrict to lotions because they have oil which is mixed in alcohol and water. It is basically for people who cannot tolerate the greasiness of creams.
For sensitive skin, use a moisturizer which has aloe vera. If your skin is not prone to acne, then use glycol acid or alpha hydroxy acid before using moisturizer. It helps remove the dead and flaky skin, and opens up the pores for the moisturizer to penetrate. Also avoid using soaps especially on the face as they are alkaline. Opt for soap-free cleansers for your face and body.
Opt for liquid and cream-based makeup. Avoid powders and use primer underneath your makeup.
